Position Title: Video Director

Position Status: Full-Time

Department: Creative Arts Team

Report To: Creative Arts Director

Position Summary: Develop, grow, and lead the Video Arts Team at Venture Church. Responsible for overseeing all elements of video production (live and taped) for all Venture Experiences (services) and Marketing Initiatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide video support for the Creative Arts Team in producing weekend Experiences and events. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Creative Arts Team: Attend weekly CAT meetings, working closely with other CAT members to plan and execute Experiences and other special events.
  • Marketing Team: Meet weekly with Marketing Director to determine video needs.
  • Management: Lead team of staff and volunteers, helping them set and meet goals in creating excellent video production at Venture.
  • Taped Video Production: Lead Video Production Manager and oversee all videos produced for Venture Experiences and Marketing. Responsibilities include producing individual projects (field producing, interviewing, scripting and overseeing editing) as well as supervising and directing other producers, editors and photographers.

Position Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in videography or ministry related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years-experience in a church of at least 1,000 people, or a comparable ministry is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce professional-grade videos with at least three years-experience in broadcast or other commercial production fields.
  • Excellent interviewing and writing skills a must.
  • General working knowledge of computer systems relating to video i.e. Planning Center, editing software Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Ability to work effectively with volunteers, team leaders and teams as well as field professionals
  • Ability to organize systems, equipment, schedules and people for efficient filming

Other Expectations:

  • Attend weekly Creative Arts Team meetings
  • Provide guidance for any video support to volunteers as needed
  • Global Leadership Summit Attendance in August
  • Assist with Special Events including Christmas, Easter and Omni Night (mid-week service) as necessary
  • Attend monthly staff meetings
  • Meet weekly with Marketing Director

Position Title: Venture Kidz Assistant Director

Position Status: Part time 20 hours per Week

Department: Children’s Ministry

Report To: Children’s Ministry Director

Position Summary: Lead, plan and grow Children’s Ministries where Kids and Volunteers can grow and take their next steps.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Create a fun, safe environment where kids can learn to take their next steps with God.

  • Train and lead all teams involved in Venture Kids Elementary (Small Group Leaders, Fun Stations, Motion Team, Large Group Teachers, Drama, and Tech Team)
  • Build Teams
  • Assist Director with leading CM and help promote growth and development of program

Position Requirements:

  • Be here on Sunday (one hour before Church)
  • Lead Large group time
  • Lead, train, and recruit Small Group Leaders, Tech, and all Volunteers
  • Have a Passion for God and Kids
  • Be a part of the Venture team
  • Plan and Execute Christmas and Easter Programs
  • Plan and Execute outside events for CM (pool day, Ski Zone, ….)
  • Plan and attend Camp in November
  • Help plan and prepare for Day camp in August
  • Assist Director in all areas of CM

Other Expectations:

  • Attend Monthly Staff meeting second Friday of each month
  • Work hours would be 4 hours Sunday and 16 hours during the week in the office
  • Meet with Lead once a week
  • Attend at least one Experience a month
  • Attend Leadership Summit in August
  • Meet with CM Team once a month
  • Be in a life Group

Position Title: Vocal Coach/Music Director Assistant Position

Position Status: Contract

Department: Creative Arts Team

Report To: Music Director

Position Summary: Provide administrative support to the Music Director.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide the administrative support to the Music Director including, but not limited to the following:

  • The Vocal Coach/Music Director Assistant will be responsible for casting vocalists for every experience and event held at Venture Church in close collaboration with the Music Director. This includes making any preparations for vocalists via Planning Center Online (lyric charts, vocal parts notes on songs, key changes, etc), and rehearsing with the vocalists during Thursday rehearsals.
  • Work in tandem with the Music Director to develop the craft of singing and oversee and attend the audition of vocalists with the Music Director.
  • Attend Sunday services for the purpose of evaluating the vocalists.
  • Assist in building & maintaining the vocal team.
  • Sing on the team as needed.
  • Attend weekly CAT meetings, working closely with Music Director to execute Sunday services and other special events.
  • For Christmas and Easter productions, the Vocal Coach/Music Assistant will work with the Music Director in the fulfillment of their normal duties as they pertain to these special productions. Approximately 3-4 extra rehearsals will be required during the preparation time.

Position Requirements:

This position requires the following minimum requirements:

  • Formal training in music with emphasis on vocals
  • Experience professionally coaching vocalists (2-5 years preferred)
  • Experience singing and performing on stage (5 years minimum)
  • Experience using in-ear monitors (preferred but not required)
  • Experience working with Planning Center Online (preferred but not required)
  • Basic knowledge reading chord charts (preferred but not required)
  • Basic piano or guitar skills (preferred but not required)

  • Meet weekly with Music Director
  • Attend the Global Leadership Summit Attendance in August
  • Assist with Special Events including Christmas, Easter, and other events as necessary
